ABOUT KATE MADIGAN
At age 19, Kate spent a year in Bodh Gaya, India where the Buddha was enlightened; studying Tibetan Thangka painting with Buddhist monks. That year shaped the way she approaches art making. For Kate, painting is an act of prayer. She imagines her art pieces as portals for the gods to enter and believes that the energy she puts into her creations is of the utmost importance.
